“I can't recommend highly enough Historic Texas Tours. I take tours in every city I travel to, and HTT was first-class. Shelley was very knowledgable and interested in the people on her tour. I liked that she went the extra mile by having free bottled water on her tour...something the big name companies do not do. Those little things make for a nice experience. I did 2 tours with Shelley, the Missions Tour and the Foodie Tour. Of course they were quite different, but both excellent. The MISSIONS TOUR was the most interesting thing I did in San Antonio. While the FOODIE TOUR was just fun and delicious! And, I was definitely full at the end! My only regret was that I did not do the FOODIE TOUR earlier in the week so I had more time to go back to the wonderful restaurants. So thanks to Shelley and to the restaurant personnel who treated us so wonderfully!”

Historic Texas Tours Testimonials

Shelly Thank You so much for a enjoyable day. The special attention you gave us girls from Ohio! If you want to take a tour with a great company, this is it. The information was great, but most of all the special attention Shelly gave to us was way above what was expected!! We were able to design our own tour, but Shelly gave us some great advice on where to go to eat, and what to see in a short time we had! Again Thank You Shelly for a GREAT time!!

Hello Alex, We wanted to tell your how much we enjoyed our day with you on March 17th. The knowledge you shared with us on the Mission Trail Tour was exeptional. Had we not taken your tour, we would
have missed out on so much information. The Natural Bridge Caverns Tour was also beyond our expectations and we appreciated your relationship with the Caverns and that you were able to get our tickets within a short period of time. Most of all, we appreciated your hospitality and how you
went the extra mile, by recommending different restaurants and calling to see if we could make a reservation. The day we spent with you, was the highlight of our trip. Our son 8 year old son, Jared, also talked about how much he enjoyed the tours. Thanks Shelly for helping us with the reservation details. Our trip to San Antonia will always be remembered due to special people like you and the service that you provide. Your company is top notch and creates so many good memories for others. Keep up the
good work!

Brent, Stacie, & Jared

We loved the tour. Will recommend it to others. We had a great time and
learned alot.

I am delighted to add some comments about our wonderful vacation in San Antonio, TX, and how participating in three of the five tours thoroughly enhanced our experiences. The concierge at the Westin raved about the family run Historic Texas Tours. So, instead of renting a car, my husband and I opted for the Mission Trail Tour, the Hill Country & Winery Tour, and the King William Culinary & Cultural Walking Tour. All were memorable. The mission tour was comprehensive, moving at a good pace.
The walking tour was a leisurely stroll through a beautiful area of San Antonio and enriched with historical commentary. The culinary stops were well timed, delicious and in unique settings. The hill country and winery tour was by far the best because it was a day filled with so much--Shelly is a super guide and extremely knowledgeable. We actually got a taste of the entire family because each tour was guided by a different member. Mom and dad are to be congratulated for raising such an articulate, poised and friendly young lady.

Hello, I went on your King William walking tour yesterday and had a blast. I loved the food at all the stops and our tour guide, Grace, was really great.
I took a lot of pictures during the tour and thought I'd share them with you.

Guys it's Travis & Jessica from PA we just wanted to let you know how much
fun we had with Alex Monday. We have never eatten such amazing food. We went
back to Auggie's on Tuesday and today. We are also per Alex's suggestion
going to Rosorio's tonight for our last Texas dinner. You guys do such a
great job and we will so be back when life takes us back to your fine city.

Jessica

Shelly,

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how much my sisters and I enjoyed the King William Walking Foodie Tour on Sept. 11th. Your daughter Grace was a great tour guide. Make sure that Casheers and the Buckshoot Balls stay on every tour - they were the best appetizer I have even had!! The gallery stop was also very good (the entire tour was great) and the owner was very knowledgable, friendly, and had great prices. Next time I am in San Antonio I will make sure I take another of your tours.

Bruce and Joyce Martin

Alex,

Thanks for a great tour of the missions on Sept 10th. You provided us with the history and facts we would nohave gotten if we had taken the self-guided, walking tour as we had intended. Not to mention the piece of mind of being driven to each mission. All the extras were appreciated, including the drop off at The Cove. I highly recommend your tours and if ever in San Antonio again, would definately do the Foodie or Wine Country tours.

Thanks again, Alex for a great day of exploring the beautiful San Antonio missions!

Shelly, Thanks so much for the experiences you provided for Clint and me on our recent trip. The mission tour was truly fantastic, and there aren't enough words to describe the food tour. Clint and I absolutely loved all of it. You may be sure that the next time we are in San Antonio, not only will we be visiting some of those restaurants you took us to, but we will also be taking the foodie tour again to find new ones. Many thanks to you and Alex. See you soon. Sandra

Shelly,

Everyone LOVED the tour!! Alex and Luis were absoulutely wonderful to our group! We will remember SA Foodie Tours for future fun! Thanks to ALL of you!!

Shelly!! I cannot thank you enough for making the day so special. Everyone loved every part of the day, ... The missions, your historical account of events, the GREAT Foodie Tour were all perfect. Many thanks from ALL of us!

Maria and Mark and Staff

Mission Trail Tour was excellent. Very accommodating to our travel plans and situation. First thing to do when you get to San Antonio, get history, amazing sights, and the guide knows the city and you getgreat advice as to where to eat. Intend to try the Foodie Tour if we can get back to San Antonio.

Bob and Polly

Shelly;

You made our trip to Texas a dream come true. From the personal attention you gave in assisting us tp figuring out our airport transport during the Festival of Flowers parade. (they are picking us up at noon). The historical facts on the mission trail to the overcoming your fear of tight spaces at the Natural Bridges Caverns. Yahoo you did it.
It was truly special meeting you, and getting to know you. You know that if you are ever up in our neck of the woods just holler and I will return the favor!

A friend of mine and I were in San Antonio last month (October), looking for a quality tour to serve as a starting point for our 5-day stay. We decided on 'Historic Texas Tours' & couldn't have made a better choice. Shelley, our guide, gave an excellent comprehensive tour in a comfortable, clean van in which we were the only passengers at that particular time. Shelley is a native Texan who clearly loves & is very proud of her heritage, and she answered all of our questions fully and to our satisfaction. We couldn't have had a better introduction to this wonderful city and its unique history. Highly recommended!

Caroline

Excellent tours-Very knowledgeable tour guide. When I go back to San Antonio I am very much interested to the cave tours.

Testimonial: During spring break, my husband and I stayed in a downtown hotel and could walk to many of San Antonio's attractions. But the missions were a little too far away, so upon the Visitor's Center's recommendation, we booked a 3 1/2 hour tour with Shelley. It was one of the best tours we've ever taken. Shelley is very knowledgeable in the history of these missions and in San Antonio and she truly made our trip interesting and educational. These well preserved missions are our link with the early settlers and are well worth a visit. I highly recommend Historic Texas Tours. On a side note, Shelley was also so much fun. We really laughed a lot. Mary

We enjoyed our Mission tour last Tuesday. On our flight home I asked my husband the best part of the 3 days we had in San Antonio and he said besides the great weather it was the Mission Tour. After hearing that ‘if you see one you have seen them all’ he agreed each was different in it own way – Espada was the BEST!!!.

Debby

Hi Shelly,
We had such a great time - thank you for accommodating us - especially agreeing to the morning tour. The kids absolutely loved it and I am so pleased they were well behaved (for the most part!).

We loved doing the drive through tour, especially having grown up in South Africa and seeing a lot of the animals as we would have seen them in South Africa. Both my children were born here in the USA and it was exciting to do this little "African safari" with them.

The caverns was an amazing experience and something I would never forget. Stefan and I have visited many caverns all over the world and this is one of the best (maybe THE best one) we have seen.

We did end up going to Sea World on Thursday and had a great time - thank you for the suggestion.

As soon as I get time to download my photos I will pass them along to you.

Best wishes,
Reinette

John and I took the Mission Tour and the Foodie Tour with Shelly and Alex. We had a great time! Shelly is very knowledgeable about the missions and makes each tour personal. We highly recommend the Foodie Tour at the beginning of your stay in San Antonio so that you will have time to eat at the restaurants, especially if you want to get away from the herds on the Riverwalk. The restaurants we visited had great menus and very reasonable prices. Shelly and Alex were so friendly and fun to spend time with. We had a ball!

John and Cindy

The 'Foodie Tour' was a fun way to spend an afternoon! As a local resident I was filled not only with great food, but also firsthand recommendations to share with friends. I will definitely make return visits. The tour showcases unique, fun places where the staff greeted guests with gracious San Antonio hospitality. Being temporarily on my own, joining an interesting group of other interesting, fun 'foodies' (good for singles who might not feel comfortable dining alone) was perfect. If was relaxing being driven in a comfortable van without worrying about directions, parking or having a bit of extra 'refeshment'. This was definitely worth a repeat!

Good morning Shelly,

I don't recall sending you a Thank you note.
I would like to take this opportunity to Thank you once more for the great experience I had while taking the Missions tour with you as my tour guide. The knowledge and friendliness you showed us was one of the reasons you bring the Missions alive to us.
Regards,

RAFAEL LOPEZ-CAZARES

Hello Shelly,

I loved the Foodie Tour. I have lived in San Antonio since 1989 and ate at some of the places we went to; however, I had not tried these specialities. The stops were great, the guided tour and background information from the restaurants was entertaining. The van ride was comfortable and well air-conditioned. I cannot wait to go on another tour with you.

Denise

I am one of four senior ladies who visited San Antonio recently. I happened upon this website and prearranged for Shelly to take us on a 'foodie' tour. It was even better than expected. We spent a delightful afternoon touring and tasting while enjoying the company of Shelley and a few of her family members who were also visiting the city. This tour is right up there along with the likes of the Alamo and Riverwalk as things you must do while in San Antonio. Thanks again Shelley.

Amazing Tour

Fri, Nov 5, 10 1:30 PM wmubuffettfa

One of the best Food Tours I have ever been on! The places we visited were definatly local places that no visiting tourist would ever discover or get to enjoy. Not only was the food wonderful, the places we visited were unique and full of character. This was the highlight of my trip to San Antonio.

Great time.

Tue, May 3 1:30 PM JHemphill686

Enjoyed this tour very much. Got to see unique restaurants that otherwise would never known about. Also got to try food that I never would have ordered but was very good. Each stop was different the one before. Food was varied but all good. Some stops on Riverwalk some were not so it allows you to get out and see other parts of the city. I would recommend this to my friends.

Awesome tour! Sure to impress!

Fri, Feb 11 1:30 PM carterce

My husband and I really enjoyed the foodie tour! It introduced us to a lot of different places and tastes unique to San Antonio. My husband and I love to get off the beaten path, and this tour accomplished that! The food and atmosphere were first class. I highly recommend this tour as something fun and unique!

Awesome!

Fri, Nov 5, 10 1:30 PM schaus

This was the highlight of our trip. We had a fantastic time. Alex was terrific as were all of the restaurants. Thank you very much!

Foodie Tour was awesome!!

Tue, Apr 6, 10 1:30 PM lazyguy4d

We recently took the Foodie Tour in San Antonio and it was awesome. We went to 5 different restaurants sampling a little of everything. We sampled in no particular order: brisket, chicken spaghetti, lasagna, carrot cake, chocolate cake, beef stew with chili on top, HUGE nachos, fish tacos, lamb burger, jalapeno carrot cake, duck tostadas, pear margarita's, that's all i can remember. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves food!!!

Ready to go again

Tue, Apr 19 1:30 PM jackieleonar

lots of fun, informative and great food on the "foodie" tour. A great way to visit San Antonio.

Four hours of the Tastes of San Antonio!!

Fri, Apr 8 1:30 PM brodybun Tue, Apr 12 5:54 PM Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends

Four hours spent enjoying the tastes of San Antonio - Augie's for great TX bbq, Joseph's for outstanding samples of their original dishes and bakery goods, Luther's for a delicious prickly pear margarita and a sample of their meaty TX chili, The Cove for a fish taco and a little 'love', and Acenir for duck chalupas!! Wonderful tour and absolutely worth the cost. Visited places the locals would probably frequent more than tourists. Every place had attentive service and cordial staff. Our guide, Alex did a fantastic job!! Recommend this foodie tour to all food lovers!!

Great food stops, had lots of fun!

We really enjoyed the tour! He made it fun for everyone! Would do another one if ever in San Antonio again! The food stops had a great selection of different food!!

Great experience away the RiverWalk

Tue, Apr 5 1:30 PM diglesias Sun, Apr 10 6:35 PM Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual

I wanted to get away all of the corporate-owned restaurant chains on the RiverWalk and experience some real San Antonio/Texas food. This tour took us to very interesting local eating places with lots of character. Augie's BBQ and The Cove were my favorites on the tour. All the food provided was delicious. The hosts at each restaurant were very nice to talk to. We also went to two bakeries. Now I know where to get some great desserts and a good breakfast. I would highly recommend this tour. The tour owners say that they mix it up and visit different restaurants. You are bound to get to a good eating place on the tour.

Great way to discover a new place to dine.

Fri, Mar 25 1:30 PM bonnieszack Wed, Mar 30 4:08 PM Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Other

My husband and I truly enjoyed the opportunity to try places we may not have discovered on our own. In fact, we went back to two of the restaurants for a full meal. We mentioned that we had visited earlier on the Foodie Tour. Augie's BBQ Pit was the best we ever ate.

Great Tour and Hosts!

Fri, Mar 18 1:30 PM PBEACH25

Awesome food and itinerary. Discovered some new places in a comfortable way. The guides were well informed and friendly. Great tour!

A great way to taste San Antonio

Fri, Feb 18 1:30 PM Kgalloway

This was a great way to spend the afternoon and get a taste of San Antonio. The samples of food were more than ample! Also enjoyed the walking tour last year!

Amazing Experience

Fri, Feb 18 1:30 PM drsuperfly

My wife and I had an amazing time. Our host, Shelly, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The relaxed atmosphere paired well with some incredible food. It was so tasty we returned the next day on our own for more helpings a couple of places on the tour.

A good time!

Fri, Feb 11 1:30 PM RossRoberts

The stops we made were well planned out. The facilities were expecting us. The couple (our guides) were very nice and a lot of fun.

Good food and good fun.

Fri, Feb 11 1:30 PM carolptimm

We really enjoyed the food tour. Husband was unsure at first but went along and loved it. The hosts were pleasant and full of information. We tried some great foods and went to some places that tourist types wouldn't know to go. The sample sizes were enough to get a taste, that way you didn't fill up on the first stop and you could go back later for a meal if you really liked the place. Also got to see some more of the city. I would definetly do it again! Recommended it to a coworker who is traveling to San Antonio.

Great Time Had By All !

Fri, Jan 14 1:30 PM Nonniwhite

We all thoroughly enjoyed our Taste of San Antonio Tour. We all will recommend it to our family and friends. We hope to take another Tour soon.

Unique, fun tour that let us enjoy new places

Fri, Dec 10, 10 1:30 PM Louthian

We went to five very different restaurants, each with a specialty. All five were not places we would have found on our own. As a result of the tour, we did go back to one of them for dinner on another night. Our guide was informative and friendly and a good driver as well.

As fun as you make it!

Sat, Nov 6, 10 1:30 PM capwellkim

My husband and I went with another couple friends of ours. There was one more couple that was on the tour with us and the tour guide Alex. We had an absolutely fantastic time. If your looking for something a little out of the ordinary and willing to relax and try new things...this is for you. We have a great time no matter what we do together but this was an experience non of us will ever forget. If you're stiff laced and unadventurous, this probably isn't for you. I highly recommend it. Well worth the money and time!

Fun and interesting

Fri, Sep 24, 10 1:30 PM kfeimster

We got a chance to sample dishes we probably would not have tried and found restaurants we would have visited if we had stayed longer.

Deliciously great

Mon, Aug 16, 10 1:30 PM uwilridge

Alex was great! He was very knowledgable of all of the places we visited as well as San Antonio itself. Auggies, Joseph's Store front, Cool Cafe, and Luther's was great. Shilo's was just ok. The root beer was the only thing I really liked. Shilo's did not have a variety to sample like the other places we visited. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who visits San Antonio. On our next visit, we will definitely attend the mission tour! Please keep up the good job! We had a wonderful experience! The Johnson's

DELICIOUS

Fri, Aug 13, 10 1:30 PM sspatters

This is the most unusual tour I've ever taken. We went to 5 different restaurants which were all very unique in their own way. When we return to San Antonio, we will definitely visit some of these restaurants again. My favorite was The Cove. They have the most fantastic fish tacos. My son, however, like Luther's best. He can't wait to have more Red Top. We both agreed that Joseph's Storehouse had the best chocolate cupcakes ever. We even stopped by there for breakfast on our way home. The other two restaurants, Azuca and Auggie's were great too. We loved Auggie's barbeque sauce and the yucca frita at Azuca's. We were told that the tour doesn't always go to the same restaurants; so we can't wait to go back and see what is in store for us next time.

Great afternoon checking out local resturants.

Mon, Jul 26, 10 1:30 PM dougyoung

let me just say first , that we had a wonderful time going to all these places to sample the food. we love good food of different types and we were not disappointed. we cook alot at home and so we know what must all go into preparing some of these different and exciting things we tried. the bbq at augies was exceptional. the bakery goodies were to kill for , could of ate there all day. then the fish tacos at the cove were great and luthers stew was great, and the prickly pear margaritas awsome, wish i had another right now. last but not least the pea soup and homemade rootbeers on the riverwalk were great too. thanks alot alex for showing us, doug and jill, a great and welcome time all afternoon. we hope to come back soon, thanks again. I highly recommend this to anyone for an afternoon out to snack around on great san antonio foods.

Awesome!

My husband and I were in San Antonio for our 15th Wedding Anniversary; our hosts were very nice, knowledgeable and a joy to be with on our special day! Thanks for the great food, great times and unique experience! Please let your restaurant owners know we felt very welcome by everyone and, of course, the food was great! We just returned to work and have told everyone to be sure and put this tour on their list of "things to do" while in San Antonio!! Michael and Cindy Potignano of Spring, TX

Excellent!!!

Fri, Jul 9, 10 1:30 PM santjess

The food was delicious. The tour provided a variety of food samples and local family owned restaurants. Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Only recommendation is to provide customers with itinerary of restaurants with addresses.

Sampling the best of San Antonio in 3 hours~

Fri, Jul 9, 10 1:30 PM di70377
We met at the heart of downtown San Antonio, at the Alamo. The communication and the direction by our guide was excellent. Our tour guide takes us to 5 unique restaurants, we got to meet the owner, the chef, and restaurant operators. Food sampling was delicious, and we were very full at the end.

GREAT TIME

Mon, Jun 14, 10 1:30 PM richwachter

WOW - We had a great time. Shelly went out of her way to accommodate us and made the whole thing a very enjoyable day. We went to a total of 5 restaurants and the food at all was great. By the end of the day we were full and did not need any extra. We are already making plans to go to two of the places we visited on the tour.

So much fun! And something different!

Fri, Jun 11, 10 1:30 PM hosacktx

I am a director of a preschool and my teachers gave me the "Foodie Tour" as an end of the year gift! It was wonderful. My husband, my grown daughter and her 15 year old daughter came also. My granddaughter probably enjoyed it the most! I would consider changing the 18 and older to maybe 14 and older. We loved the samples, which were more than adequate, and loved the restaurants. I have already recommended it to many! You may see us on the tour again soon!
Thanks! Cheryl Hosack

Great Tour-Recommended

Fri, Jun 11, 10 1:30 PM sarasublackw

My son and I had a great time. He is 16, but he is very open to trying new things. We enjoyed the fact that we got to try different types of cuisine. We also enjoyed the history and architecture. Some of the places we plan to return to. We enjoyed them all. Our tour guide is very good at what she does-she was a pleasure.

Very informative! Great food, fun and worth a try

Fri, May 28, 10 1:30 PM lipz30

Our tour leader was fantastic, very well informed, a native to San Antonio, and my group was great as well! I had no idea the food was so ecclectic and yummy here! This was a great sample of what the local flavors of Texas had to offer, and I was blown away by how friendly and patient the restaurant staffers were. I enjoyed my trip here, but this was the highlight of my vacation- it was great!! HIGHLY recommended for any food enthusiastic in unfamiliary territories! San Antonio has hundreds of eateries, but they picked only a select few, and I really enjoyed the samplings we were offered. Overall, it was great activity and reasonably priced (approx $50, minus alcoholic beverages, should you feel the need to imbibe while dining) and a wonderful atmosphere for history buffs. Most importantly you won't leave hungry. Worth the trip in my opinion....

Honeymoon fun activity

Fri, May 14, 10 1:30 PM Blairbrock72

My wife & I did this as one of our activities on our honeymoon. We really enjoyed it, and everyone on the tour were very nice and friendly. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and treated us as a friend. I recommended any adults doing this, probably not children. If you like to try different things, I would advise doing it. It takes up a good amount of time, and it is something nice to do!

Great date!

Fri, May 7, 10 1:30 PM AmandaMScott

Great way to spend the afternoon tasting the restaurants you wouldn't normally visit as a tourist. We found a few favorites that we will definitely return to.

Informative, fun and helpful!!

Tue, Apr 6, 10 1:30 PM LizBaker

I really enjoyed the foodie tour!! I had a lot of fun and learned of new and great restaurants to try in the city!!! :) The tour guide was very professional and knowledgeable of what she's doing and teaching the guests!! She knew the History of the restaurants and even some of San Antonio!! It was a great Mom's day out for me!! I would definitely recommend this tour!! I plan on attending more of these tours as well as the different types of the tours that they offer!! :) Highly recommendable!!! :) It wasn't just fun, but it was a blast!! You get to meet people right here in SA and people different places and even people that have been to your own hometown(ST. Louis, MO)!!! The restaurants all had very good food and great service too!! The kind of food and service that you would go back there and want to share it with family and friends!! The tour guide was real helpful and friendly to all of us!! I give this tour 10 stars!!! :) I plan on taking my family on tours as they come to visit me here!! Also taking my husband as well!! More places and ideas for him to take me out to eat or explore!! :) Thank you soo much for all you do for this City of San Antonio!! :)

Awesome way to experience downtown San Antonio

This was an awesome tour. A really great way to get a taste of the different resturaunts in San Antonio. A few very nice gems that I would never have known about other wise. :)

Do It!!!!

It was a great tour - lots of fun places and good food. Shelly is a great guide. Definitely book it!!

Diverse Menues Speak for San Antonio

Sat, Apr 3, 10 1:30 PM gennyevans

This is a great way for the local restaurants to be highlighted. I really liked many of the foods we sampled. And yes, the ad is correct that you don't want to eat lunch first. The package is very diverse and I liked most of it. Shelly is a great guide and I applaud her for starting this and getting restaurants to participate. Local restaurants need to realize this is a great way to attract customers. You do have to understand that you take the tour not knowing who will be on the tour with you, Alcoholic beverages can be consumed during the tour and often are. Shelly never let it get out of hand though.

good food, nice selection

Wed, Mar 31, 10 1:30 PM davidknutson

Good ideas for restaurants. Many small plates, good food. Do this first in San Antonio, then you can go back to your favorites. Shelly knowledgeable and so easy going.

The perfect tour

Sat, Mar 27, 10 1:30 PM peggypro

This was a very fun activity and well organized. The food was great. The company was great. The staff at each restaurant was great. Our guide was knowledgable and helpful. I will be recommending this to anyone traveling to San Antonio.

My First Foodie Tour

Tue, Mar 16, 10 1:30 PM candyceping

This may have been my first foodie tour but it will not be my last. My sister and I were in San Antonio for a sisters get-away. This tour gave us a chance to see more of San Antonio than we would have been able to do on our own. The tour went BBQ to a converted church with stainglass windows. We went back to one of the restaurants, Acenar for "hotmex/cooldrinks," again before we left. Outstanding afternoon!

A great introduction to the local cuisine

Thu, Feb 25, 10 1:30 PM npolky

This was a three hour tasting tour. We went to six different places, and tasted a variety of things (sometimes rather large tastes) at each. Our guide, Shelly, of Historic Texas Tours, called ahead to each place so they were ready for us. We sampled authentic 26 hour smoked brisket, fish tacos, shrimp nachos, mediterranean pasta, homemade meatloaf and lasagna, and even Redtop - chili poured over Irish stew. There was a chocolate cake to die for, jalapeno carrot cake and even a prickly pear margarita. As we rode place to place, we saw parts of San Antonio that tourists usually don't see, and Shelly was able to answer all of our questions. Do this early in your stay, so you can return to your favorites for a meal. We returned to two of the places, and would have gone to others if we had had more time. This is a very special experience, and I can't recommend it enough. Needless to say, we did not need dinner that night.

Yummy

Thu, Feb 25, 10 1:30 PM namsa

Shelley was an effective tour leader. Flavours of SA were there, and good to visit places away downtown. The trip had a lot of local information, not necessarily food related. 5 out of 6 restaurants were local inspired food. A mediterranean one, while providing as idea for alternative dining, was less what I was looking for. Would like to see the tour include more locally produced food - eg. for purchase - and to see what is involved. Good to have a small group - a lot of opportunity to chat about travel / food /SA.

Would recommend!

Fri, May 20 1:30 PM cgordon1234 Tue, May 24 1:09 AM Female Unspecified Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends

We enjoyed the tour. Very informative and a great opportunity to try food we would not have otherwise found. Wish we could have done this at the beginning of our trip so we would have known better places to dine.
